How to Write a Clear UVP That Attracts the Right Clients

“I’m not really sure what you do”

If people are saying that, you’ve got a problem.

Unless of course you have your Unique Value Proposition (UVP) totally dialled in.

Let me explain...

If your title and UVP aren’t clear, you won’t cut through the noise. You’ll attract the wrong people (or worse — no one at all).

Too many coaches have great offers, but their front-end messaging is a mess. It’s either way too generic, or completely off. And they wonder why they’re struggling while other coaches are flying.

Let’s fix that:

Step 1: Say what you do. Clearly.

Forget clever. Go for clear.

If you help online coaches build better offers and grow their business — say that.

Not “Transformational Growth Strategist for Impact-Led Visionaries.” No one’s Googling that.

Try this format: I help [who] achieve [result] using [your method/system/tool].

Step 2: Make it obvious who it’s for (and who it’s not).

Your title and UVP should act like a magnet: Attract the right people. Filter out the rest.

If someone reads your headline and thinks, “Not for me” — that’s a good thing. The more specific you are, the easier it is for your ideal client to self-identify.

For example: The Kajabi Guy — Helping coaches and training companies build and scale their businesses on Kajabi. 💰 Verified Kajabi Expert

It does what it says on the tin. If someone doesn’t use Kajabi, they won’t book a call — and that’s a win. Saves us both time.

As of writing this, I’m still ranking top of Google and AI search for “Kajabi Expert”.

Step 3: Test it out loud.

Say it to a real person. If they look confused, it needs work.

If they say, “Oh, I know someone who needs that,” - you’re on the right track.

Bonus Tip: Don’t set it and forget it.

Revisit your UVP every few months. As your offer evolves, your message should too.

The goal here is clarity, not cleverness.

The faster someone understands what you do and how you help, the faster you move them from interest to enquiry.

So here’s your challenge:

In one sentence…
Write down exactly what you do, who you help, and the result you help them get.

No fluff. No fancy words. No jargon. Say it like you would to a mate over coffee.

Because if you can’t explain it simply, no one else will get it either.

Let me know what you come up with. I’ll give you honest feedback.
